VIP in Rise of Kingdoms: What Each Level Actually Gives You, and How Fast You Can Get There

Every VIP table you'll find online is out of date. Lilith reworked VIP production buffs and most published tables still show the old numbers. Everything below is read off live in-game panels.

The short answer

VIP is the best-value progression system in the game at the bottom, and the most expensive one at the top. The curve is brutally non-linear, and almost everyone climbs it wrong โ€” not by spending too little, but by treating it as one long ladder instead of four separate decisions.

Here are the only four levels that change how you play:

LevelWhat unlocksWho should target itRealistic free timeline
VIP 6โญ 2nd builder queue, permanently๐ŸŸข Everyone. No exceptions.~62 days
VIP 10๐Ÿ—ฟ 1ร— Legendary Commander Sculpture, free, every day๐ŸŸข Every serious account~2.1 years free โ€” this is where packs start paying
VIP 14๐Ÿ—ฟ 3ร— Legendary Sculpture/day + Unit Capacity +5%๐ŸŸก Committed mid/high spendersNot reachable free in any useful timeframe
VIP 17โš”๏ธ +5% All Damage โ€” the biggest combat jump left in the ladder๐Ÿ”ด WhalesPaid only

Everything else is a smooth ramp. Those four are cliffs.

What VIP actually does (most guides get this part wrong)

VIP gives you five different kinds of thing, and they matter to different players at different times. Lumping them together is why people misjudge it.

1. Economy multipliers. Resource production, gathering speed, building speed, research speed, training speed. These ramp smoothly and compound with everything else you own.

2. Permanent feature unlocks. The 2nd builder queue at VIP6. Flux Scrip gifting at VIP10. The Supreme Wheel and SVIP Shop at SVIP. These never go away and never get better โ€” you buy them once.

3. A daily free chest that grows with your level. This is the part almost nobody prices correctly. See below.

4. Combat stats โ€” but only at the very top. Troop Attack first appears at VIP11, Troop Defense at VIP12, Troop Health at VIP13 (read directly off the in-game VIP panels), and All Damage +5% at VIP17. Below VIP11, VIP gives you no combat power at all. If someone tells you to push VIP for KvK performance and you're VIP9, they're wrong.

5. Access to more of the VIP Shop โ€” and this is the one that quietly funds your account. The shop unlocks more rows, and better rows, as your VIP level climbs. It restocks weekly, which means it isn't a one-off reward; it's a standing supply line that gets wider every level.

The VIP Shop: what you're actually unlocking

Most players treat the VIP Shop as a place to dump spare gems. It's closer to a subscription that pays you, and the item list maps directly onto the things that are otherwise bottlenecks.

What's on the shelf (prices read off a live VIP16 shop, three pages, ~26 rows โ€” plus the full unlock ladder below):

What it gets youRowsWhy it matters

UtilityGolden Keys, Targeted Teleport, Lvl 5 Tomes, bulk resourcesโ€”

The single best line in the shop: the 24-Hour Speedup. At 600 gems it works out to 25 gems per hour of speedup. The 60-minute is 50/hour and the 5-minute is 72/hour โ€” and the boutique 3-hour speedup people usually rate as the best deal runs 100/hour. The VIP 24-hour is four times better than the thing most guides call the best speedup value in the game. (The 3-hour boutique price is a community-reported figure we have not yet captured in-game; the 4ร— rests on it. The 25 gems/hour is measured โ€” 600 gems รท 24 hours.) At a weekly stock of 20, that's 20 full days of speedup for 12,000 gems, every week. Buy this row out before you touch anything else.

And buy out every resource-priced row, every week, at every VIP level. At VIP16 the full resource sweep costs roughly 2.7M Food and 2M Wood โ€” which on a stocked account is around a tenth of one percent of reserves. It returns 3,000 Action Points, 250 minutes of speedups, 50 equipment materials, 30 blueprint chests, and 25 sculptures. Weekly. Annualised, that's over a thousand Brand-new and 260 Dazzling Starlight Sculptures for under 6% of one year's food reserve. There is no other purchase in the game with that ratio, and it is sitting there unclaimed on most accounts.

โš ๏ธ A trap worth naming: the discount percentage is not the value. The โˆ’78% and โˆ’80% bulk resource rows are among the deepest discounts in the shop and the worst buys for any established account โ€” 1.5M food is a rounding error against a stocked warehouse. The โˆ’50% blueprint and sculpture rows are the correct spend. Rank rows by what your account actually lacks; use the discount only as a tie-breaker. (The one exception: if you're closing out a Big Spender quest threshold, buy what you want first and use the cheapest unwanted row purely as filler.)

One more piece of arbitrage: the Equipment Material Choice Chest costs 1,200 coins in the AM event shop and 600 gems here. Buy it with gems and save your event-shop coins for Legendary Commander Sculptures.

The unlock ladder โ€” this is the reason to climb that nobody prices

The shop doesn't just get cheaper as you level. New rows appear at specific VIP levels, and some of them are account-defining:

Unlocks atItemPriceWeekly stock
VIP 9Epic Commander Sculpture200 gems (โˆ’60%)50
VIP 1024-Hour Enhanced Defense (Advanced)750 gems (โˆ’50%)10

VIP 18Training Speedup (24h)600 gems (โˆ’60%)20
VIP 18Level 5 Material Choice Chest2,400 gems (โˆ’60%)5

Two rows on that table are worth more than everything else combined.

๐Ÿ‹ VIP 13 opens Legendary Commander Sculptures at 2,000 gems, twenty per week. This is the single biggest whale lever in the VIP system and it is barely discussed. Legendary sculptures are the hard currency of commander progression โ€” skill levels on your best pairs, and the thing every other source rations. The shop will sell you 1,040 of them a year, on a standing weekly restock, for gems. If you are a serious spender and you are below VIP13, this row alone is the argument for closing the gap.

VIP 15 opens the 24-Hour Universal Speedup โ€” the 25-gems-per-hour row above, the cheapest speedup in the game. Everything below VIP15 is buying time at 2ร— to 4ร— the price.

That reframes the whole ladder. The combat stats get the attention, but VIP 13 and VIP 15 are where the shop turns into an engine โ€” one feeds commanders, the other feeds every queue you own.

Two items are still uncaptured: formation chests and transmutation stones are attested at the top tiers but do not appear in our unlock ladder, so we don't state prices for them.

The production ladder (in-game verified, and it's not what the wikis say)

Food, wood, stone and gold all move together on one uniform ladder:

VIPResource productionVIPResource production

1+10%13+67%
2+15%14+71%
3+20%15+75%

5+37%17+85%
6+40%18+90%
8+46%19+90%
10+54%SVIP+90%

โš ๏ธ The trap: older tables show VIP15 at +50% and VIP16 at +55%. Those are pre-rework numbers and they're wrong by 25 percentage points at the top. Production plateaus at +90% from VIP18 โ€” VIP19 and SVIP give you no additional resource production. If you're climbing past 18 for economy, you're buying nothing.

The daily free chest is the real value, and it's badly underrated

Every day you log in, VIP hands you a free chest that scales with your level. The resource bundles literally scale with your VIP number (Wood 10,000 ร— your level, Stone 7,500 ร— your level, Gold 3,000 ร— your level from VIP8 up).

But the resources aren't the point. The sculptures are.

Keys track alongside: Silver at VIP8โ€“9, Golden from VIP10โ€“17, Crystal at VIP18. Lv3 Equipment Material Choice Chests start at VIP16.

VIP10 is the single most important number in this guide for a non-whale. One free Legendary sculpture per day is 365 legendary sculptures a year, forever, for logging in. That is a commander expansion rate no other free mechanic in the game comes close to. VIP14 triples it.

โš ๏ธ Correct a myth while you're here: you'll find sites claiming 10 gems = 1 VIP point. That's wrong. It's 1:1. We checked it against multiple sources and discarded the bad one.

โš ๏ธ The streak trap, quantified. The login chest ramps 40 โ†’ 60 โ†’ 80 โ†’ โ€ฆ โ†’ 200 and caps there after nine consecutive days. Miss one day and it resets to 40. That single missed day costs you 720 points across the nine days it takes to climb back โ€” and if you're the kind of player who misses one day a month, you are permanently giving up about an eighth of the rate. More people are stuck at VIP7 because of this than for any other reason.

The free climb, computed

This is the honest answer to "can I get VIP without paying?" โ€” assuming a perfect login streak and counting only the daily chest:

Alliance gifts and pack points pull these in โ€” often a lot, if you're in an active alliance that opens big gifts. But the shape holds: the bottom of the ladder is free and fast, the middle is free and slow, and the top is not free at all.

The free climb, computed This is the honest answer to "can I get VIP without paying?" โ€” assuming a perfect login streak and counting only the daily chest: The free climb, computed Days at a perfect streak VIP 4 22 VIP 5 34 VIP 6 62 VIP 7 92 VIP 8 179 VIP 9 379 VIP 10 the honest crossover 754

Look at the deltas and you'll see why. VIP1โ†’6 costs 11,300 points total. VIP16โ†’17 alone costs 1,000,000. VIP19โ†’SVIP costs 3,000,000 โ€” more than the entire climb from zero to VIP17.

So how fast can you get there, and what does that speed cost?

If you're free-to-play: you get VIP6 in about two months and VIP10 in about two years, and both of those are genuinely worth having. Play the streak, join an alliance that opens gifts, and stop thinking about VIP after that. Your power comes from commanders, gear and troop tier โ€” not VIP.

If you spend lightly: packs carry VIP points as a side effect. You'll pass VIP10 far faster than the table says without ever buying a point directly. Never buy VIP points as your primary purchase โ€” you're paying for the byproduct instead of the product.

If you spend seriously: the target is VIP14 (3 Legendary sculptures/day, and Unit Capacity +5% starts here). This is the level where VIP starts paying you back daily in the currency that actually builds accounts.

If you're a whale: the target is VIP17, and the reason is one row โ€” All Damage +5%, which is the single largest remaining combat jump in the ladder. VIP17 also lifts training speed to +25% and AP limit to +350. VIP18 is a different purchase: it's a heal-economy and mobility level (healing cost โˆ’15%, march speed +10%, Unit Capacity +15%, Crystal Key daily) and it makes the most sense for an account that fights constantly and heals constantly.

โš ๏ธ Whale-specific trap: gem conversion timing. At 1 gem = 1 point, moving from VIP16 to VIP17 is a 1,000,000-gem swing if you brute-force it. If you're going to convert gems to VIP points, do it during a More Than Gems event so the gem spend earns event points at the same time. Converting outside that window is the most common seven-figure mistake in this system.

If you're serious about VIP, the worst thing you can do is wait

Every other purchase in this game is a one-time exchange: you pay, you get a thing, the thing sits there. VIP is not that. VIP is the only system in the game whose value is measured in days held.

Look at what a level actually turns on the moment you reach it:

The price of a VIP level is fixed. The yield is a function of how long you hold it. So the same level bought a year earlier isn't worth a little more โ€” it's worth 365 extra chests, 52 extra shop restocks, and a full year of multipliers applied to everything you built in the meantime.

That last part is the one people miss. The production multipliers don't just add resources; they add resources to an account that is also growing, which is what compounding means. Reaching VIP14 early doesn't accelerate the account you have today โ€” it accelerates every version of the account between now and the end.

The practical consequence is blunt: if you have decided you're going to reach a VIP level eventually, reaching it later is strictly worse, and the loss is permanent. You can't buy back the days. This is the one place in Rise of Kingdoms where "I'll do it next season" has a real, calculable cost โ€” and it's why VIP is the single most time-sensitive investment on the board for anyone building a long-term account.

The corollary, and it matters just as much: if you have decided you're not going that far, stop early and stop cleanly. The compounding argument is an argument for speed once you've committed, not an argument for climbing forever. Pick the level that matches how you actually play โ€” VIP6, 10, 14 or 17 โ€” and get there fast.

The one thing nobody tells you about Action Points

VIP16, 17 and 18 raise your AP cap (+200, +350, +400). It looks like a convenience buffer. It isn't.

AP regeneration stops when you're at cap. So your realized AP per day depends on how often you log in โ€” a single daily login gets you your cap plus recovery from that point, while logging in several times a day lets you keep draining the pool so it never stalls. That makes the AP-cap rows income levers, not storage. A VIP17 player who logs in once a day is throwing away a large fraction of what they paid for.

If you're at VIP16+, log in and spend AP at least twice a day. It costs nothing and it's worth more than most people's talent trees.

What we don't know yet, stated plainly

We'd rather flag a hole than guess into it:

Also worth knowing: the "New" badges on the VIP panel are unreliable. They sometimes mean "first appearance" and sometimes "increased at this level," and at VIP16 the production increases carry no badge at all. Never derive per-level deltas from the badges โ€” read the total value at each level. This is why so many published VIP tables disagree with each other.

The five-second version

Want this run against your actual account?

This guide gives you the ladder. It can't tell you your answer โ€” and your answer depends on things a guide can't see: where your VIP points are right now, how your streak is really running, which commanders your free sculptures should be pointed at, and whether your next dollar does more at VIP14 than it does on equipment or a Legendary head.

That's the difference between a table and an advisor. You tell the advisor about your actual account โ€” your VIP level and current points, your commander roster, your spend band, your kingdom's season timing; screenshot reading is live on paid plans โ€” and it tells you the next thing to do, with the math shown and the alternatives ranked so you can disagree with it.

It'll also tell you when the answer is "don't spend on VIP." A tool that only ever says buy more isn't an advisor, it's an ad. Ours is built to talk you out of bad purchases as readily as into good ones โ€” because the players who trust us are the ones who stay.
